Role Description
• Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant or café setting
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service
• Cooking & Preparation: Prepare/cook a variety of lite meals and cheese platters
• Menu Execution: Follow established recipes to ensure consistency and quality
• Ingredient Management: Oversee the sourcing, storing, and preparation of fresh, high-quality.
• Ensure that pantry items are well-stocked and organised
• Presentation: Plate dishes with attention to detail, ensuring they are visually appealing and meet the café’s high standards
• Ability to maintain consistency and quality under pressure
• Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
• Cash Handling and Banking: Accurately handle cash transactions ensuring the security of all payment methods. This includes receiving payments, giving change, processing card transactions with precision and end of shift cash reconciliations
• Staff Rostering
• Dealing with suppliers
• Development and continual improvement of the venue’s positive customer experience
