Gidley Dry Gin with 2025 vintage Pinot Noir grapes.
Tasting Notes
A jaunty, jewelled ruby in colour, Gidley Pinot Noir Gin invites you in from first pour. The juniper and spice backbone of King Island Distillery Bass Strait’s classic Gidley Dry Gin greets you first on the nose, followed by juicy berry compote thanks to its marriage with premium Tasmanian Pinot Noir grapes from Beautiful Isle Wine’s 2025 vintage.
This dance of fruit and spice continues on the palate as raspberry partners with rosemary and brambly blackcurrant twirls around green cardamom. An undercurrent of pink peppercorn adds warmth and pulls everything together, while a silky texture makes this a delicious drop poured straight over ice.
That said, mixing with some soda really pops the fresh fruit and herbal notes – an easy, two ingredient cocktail that tastes far more complex. If you do feel like getting out the shaker tins, your options are endless: substitute Gidley Pinot Noir gin in place of sloe gin in a Charlie Chaplin and thank us later.

The story of Gidley Pinot Noir Gin
Gidley Pinot Noir Gin is distilled using our Gidley Dry Gin recipe, crafted with a refined mixture of classic dry gin
botanicals then long steeped with Tasmanian Pinot Noir grapes to create our first release of our Pinot Noir gin.
To create this limited release with beautiful colour and exceptional mouth feel, we collaborated with Tasmanian
winery Beautiful Isle Wines, working with their 2025 vintage Pinot grapes.
A Partnership with
Beautiful Isle Wines
For this limited release, we have collaborated with Beautiful Isle Wines, a Tasmanian winery established in 2013 and known for producing expressive, small-batch wines from the Tamar Valley. Beautiful Isle is a brand that sources fruit from across the region and manages Marion’s Vineyard, one of the Tamar’s most recognised vineyard sites.
Once an apple orchard, Marion’s Vineyard inspired the Beautiful Isle name and brand identity, reflecting its local heritage and connection to the landscape.
This release marks Beautiful Isle’s first collaboration in the spirits category. The 2025 vintage Pinot Noir grapes were steeped with the Gidley Dry Gin base to create King Island Distillery’s first Pinot Noir Gin, resulting in a distinctive Tasmanian expression that combines winemaking and distilling expertise.
